SPRING TRAINING GAME RECAP: 3/1/17

Cincinnati Reds 2, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 3

The Brewers improved their Cactus League record to 2-3 on Wednesday afternoon with a 3-2 walk-off win over the Cincinnati Reds in Maryvale.  The Reds got on the board first when Zack Cozart homered off of starter Chase Anderson in the top of the first, but Milwaukee got that run right back when Keon Broxton belted a home run of his own to lead off the bottom of the first.  Scooter Gennett singled home Jonathan Villar to make the score 2-1 beforeCincinnati tied it back up with a run in the fourth.  The game stayed knotted at 2-2 until the bottom of the ninth.  Maurico Dubon walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on a wild pitch. He took third base on a single by Ryan Cordell and then with one out, third baseman Lucas Erceg singled to right, scoring Dubon and giving the Brewers the victory.
