SPRING TRAINING GAME RECAP: 3/4/17

Texas Rangers 1, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 7

Milwaukee got home runs from Keon Broxton and Hernan Perez as they rolled over the Rangers 7-1 in Maryvale on Saturday. The Brewers got on the board first when Broxton scored from first on a triple by Jonathan Villar in the third inning. Texas tied things up in the top of the fifth but Milwaukee took the lead back in the bottom of the inning on a three-run blast off the bat of Broxton. Perez launched his first home run of the spring to push the lead to 5-1 in the sixth, then the Brewers tacked on two more in the eighth when Brett Phillips scored on a hit-and-run single by Mauricio Dubon and Nate Orf crossed the plate on a double by Rene Garcia. Zach Davies started for Milwaukee and tossed two scoreless frames while Andy Oliver surrendered a run in his lone inning of work but was credited with the win.
