The Milwaukee Brewers made their first batch of cuts on Wednesday, sending four injured players to minor league camp.

Right-handed pitcher Adrian Houser, who is rehabbing after undergoing Tommy John surgery last season, was optioned to minor league camp and catcher Jacob Nottingham, outfielder Corey Ray and pitcher Yhonathan Barrios were all reassigned to minor league camp as well.

Nottingham, who appeared in just three games for Milwaukee this spring, has been battling through a biceps injury that has kept him out of action for the past week, while Ray and Barrios have yet to hit the field as they recover from respective knee and shoulder surgeries.

The moves left the Brewers with a total of 54 players remaining in camp heading into their split squad games against the Dodgers and White Sox on Wednesday afternoon.
