SPRING TRAINING GAME RECAP: 3/31/17

Chicago White Sox 2, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 5

The Brewers and the White Sox played the first of two exhibition games at Miller Park on Friday night with Milwaukee coming out on top by a score of 5-2.  The Brewers got the scoring started with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning when Jonathan Villar scored on a Travis Shaw single and Ryan Braun came home on a Hernan Perez ground out.  Shaw belted his fifth home run of the spring in the seventh inning to make it 3-0, then the Brewers added two more in the eighth to push their lead to 5-0.  The White Sox plated two in the top of the ninth off of Carlos Torres but that was it as Milwaukee took game one of their series.  Chase Anderson started and got the win, going five scoreless innings and allowing just one hit while striking out six.
