The Sky Sox dropped to .500 on the year as they were nipped by Memphis 2-1.  Matt Garza got the start for Colorado Springs and surrendered a home run to the first batter he faced before settling down, thanks to some nice outfield defense behind him.  He went five innings, allowing just the one run before exiting.  Stephen Kohlscheen worked two scoreless frames but Memphis got to reliever Rob Scahill for a run in the bottom of the eighth that proved to be the difference.  Tyler Heineman led the Sky Sox offense, going 2-for-3 with a double while Garrett Cooper also doubled and Yadiel Rivera, Nick Noonan and Kyle Wren each contributed a single.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3, BILOXI SHUCKERS 0

CAROLINA MUDCATS 3, Wilmington Blue Rocks 2
The Mudcats improved their record to 4-2 with a walk-off win in extra innings on Wednesday.  Wilmington scored first, with a run in the fourth inning, but Carolina took the lead with two in the seventh.  The Blue Rocks got one back in the eighth to even the score, but Carlos Belonis opened up the tenth with a single and scored on a sac fly from Troy Stokes, Jr. with what proved to be the winning run. Corbin Burnes started for Carolina and went six innings, allowing just one run. Quintin Torres-Costa worked a scoreless ninth and was awarded the win with Nate Griep recording his second save. Mitch Ghelfi had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple while Isan Diaz, Lucas Erceg and Jake Gatewood each added a single.

After splitting a doubleheader on Tuesday, Wisconsin dropped the rubber game of their series with Burlington on Wednesday, falling to the Bees by a score of 9-1.  Nattino Diplan got the starting assignment for the Rattlers and took the loss after giving up four runs, three earned, in three innings of work.
