MONDAY’S GAMES

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 6, Chicago Cubs 3

Milwaukee had three players finish a triple shy of the cycle as they doubled up the Cubs 6-3.  Eric Thames, Ryan Braun and Jett Bandy all collected a single, double and home run for the Brewers, marking the fifth straight game with a home run for Thames.  Domingo Santana had the other Milwaukee hit, going 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base.  Chase Anderson got the start and picked up the win, going five innings and giving up three runs, two earned.   Neftali Feliz got the final three outs in the ninth to record his fifth save of the season.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX @ Nashville Sounds (Postponed, Rain)

The Sky Sox and Sounds had the final game of their series rained out on Monday evening.  The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, May 28th.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 5, Chattanooga Lookouts 0

The Shuckers defeated Chattanooga by a score of 5-0 in a rain-shortened contest on Monday night. Aaron Wilkerson got the start for Biloxi and earned the win, working five scoreless innings and scattering four hits while striking out five. Mauricio Dubon led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a double while driving in four of the five Shuckers runs. Clint Coulter also finished with two hits while Michael Reed was on base three times with a single and a pair of walks.

Lynchburg Hillcats @ CAROLINA MUDCATS (Postponed, Rain)

The Hillcats and Mudcats also had their game postponed due to rain.  There was no immediate word given as to when the game would be made up.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 4, Clinton LumberKings 5

Matt Garza made the start for the Rattlers and took the loss after he got lit up for five runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings of work in his second rehab appearance.  Third baseman Jose Cuas led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a double and a home run.  Second baseman Tucker Neuhaus had a single, a double and a sacrifice fly while outfielders Joantgel Segovia and Ryan Aguilar each chipped in two hits for the Timber Rattlers.
