Addison Russell‘s three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth gave the Cubs a 7-4 walk-off win over the Brewers at Wrigley Field on Wednesday.  Tommy Milone started for Milwaukee and went five innings, allowing just one run.  Neftali Feliz was charged with a blown save and the loss after giving up four runs in an inning plus of relief.   Travis Shaw and Jett Bandy each homered for the Brewers while Orlando Arcia added a pair of hits.

Memphis Redbirds 4, COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 13

The Sky Sox improved their record to 9-3 on the season as they thumped Memphis 13-4.  Brandon Woodruff made the start for Colorado Springs and earned the win, allowing four runs in five innings of work. Brett Phillips paced the offensive attack, slugging a pair of home runs and driving in six while also drawing two walks.  Eric Sogard also homered as part of a three hit day with Yadiel Rivera adding a single and two doubles in five trips to the plate.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 1, Chattanooga Lookouts 3
In a game that was suspended on Tuesday night due to rain, the Shuckers and Lookouts picked up in the third inning on Wednesday with Chattanooga going on to defeat Biloxi 3-1.  Taylor Williams started when the game resumed and went three innings, giving up one run. Forrest Snow followed and was charged with the loss after allowing two runs in the final three frames.  Maurico Dubon finished with two hits while Victor Roache added a double.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 7, Chattanooga Lookouts 4
After getting no-hit through the first five innings, the Shuckers bats came to life as they scored four in the sixth and three in the seventh to take game two 7-4.  Jon Perrin started and went 3.2 innings, allowing three runs.  Tayler Scott got the win with Matt Ramsey recording the save.  Johnny Davis and Victor Roache each finished with two hits while Jacob Nottingham tripled and drove in three runs and Mauricio Dubon added his first home run of the year.


The Mudcats have the day off on Wednesday before opening up a series at home against the Buies Creek Astros on Thursday night.


Wisconsin dropped the final game of their series with Clinton on Wednesday as they were doubled up by the LumberKings 6-3.  Trey Supak got the start and took the loss after going 4.2 innings and giving up four runs.  Mario Feliciano led the Rattlers offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in.  Monte Harrison also had three hits for Wisconsin with Demi Orimoloye adding two hits while also scoring a pair of runs.
