WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

Cincinnati Reds 4, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 9
The Brewers scored five runs in the first inning as they completed a three game sweep of the Reds with a 9-4 win at Miller Park on Wednesday afternoon.  Wily Peralta improved his record to 4-1, going five innings and giving up four runs. Orlando Arcia doubled, walked and homered (2) for Milwaukee while Jett Bandy added three hits and Ryan Braun, Travis Shaw and Jonathan Villar each added a pair of hits.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX – Off Day
The Sky Sox were off on Wednesday.  They hit the road on Thursday to open up a five game series in Des Moines, Iowa against the Iowa Cubs.

Jackson Generals 6, BILOXI SHUCKERS 5
The Shuckers rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth, but came up just short, as they dropped their third straight game to Jackson on Wednesday, losing by a score of 6-5. Angel Ventura started and was charged with the loss after going 4.1 innings and giving up two runs.  Dustin Houle doubled and drove in three runs for Biloxi while Mauricio Dubon and Angel Ortega each finished with a pair of hits.

Down East Wood Ducks 6, CAROLINA MUDCATS 4
Carolina plated a run to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh, but the Wood Ducks scored two in the top of the ninth to knock off the Mudcats 6-4.  Cody Ponce started and went seven innings, allowing four runs.  Colton Cross worked the final two and was tagged with the loss after giving up two runs.  Troy Stokes, Jr. reached base three times, going 2-for-3 with a walk while Jake Gatewood doubled and walked.

Kane County Cougars 13, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 0
The Timber Rattlers managed just one hit as they were thumped by Kane County 13-0.  Braden Webb started and took the loss after giving up six runs over three innings of work. Parker Berberet worked the final four innings for Wisconsin and was unscored upon. Tucker Neuhaus recorded the only hit of the game for the Rattlers, collecting a double in the seventh inning while Ryan Aguilar drew a pair of walks.
