THURSDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS – Idle
The Brewers had a day off on Thursday before opening up a series with the Atlanta Braves at Miller Park starting Friday evening.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 7, Iowa Cubs 9
Iowa plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth as they came back to top Colorado Springs by a score of 9-7.  Josh Hader started for the Sky Sox and went 4.2 innings, giving up five runs. David Goforth gave up two runs, one earned, in an inning of work and was charged with the loss. Garrett Cooper led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and a home run (3) while Ryan Cordell added a single and a double.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 4, Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3
Biloxi scored three runs in the top of the seventh and held on for a 4-3 win over Pensacola.  Taylor Jungmann got the starting nod and went four innings, allowing just one run while striking out seven.  Forrest Snow followed and tossed two scoreless innings to pick up the win with Matt Ramsey recording the save. Dustin DeMuth each finished with two hits while Victor Roache added a double and drove in two runs.

Down East Wood Ducks 7, CAROLINA MUDCATS 9
Carolina scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth as they topped Down East by a score of 9-7.  Freddy Peralta started and went five innings, allowing just one run while striking out six.  Nate Griep worked the final inning an a third and was credited with the win.  Isan Diaz led the offense, going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles while Luis Aviles singled, doubled and walked and Carlos Belonis and Max McDowell each added two base hits and a walk.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 6, Burlington Bees 1
Wisconsin got back on the winning track, knocking off Burlington by a score of 6-1. Jordan Desguin started and got the win, allowing just one hit over five scoreless innings. Jose Cuas was on base all four times for the Timber Rattlers with a single and double while also being hit by pitches twice.  Monte Harrison and Tucker Neuhaus each belted their sixth home runs of the season while Gilbert Lara singled and drove in two runs.
