SATURDAY’S RESULTS

Atlanta Braves 11, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 3
The Braves pounded out 11 runs on 20 hits as they rolled over Milwaukee 11-3 at Miller Park on Saturday night.  Jimmy Nelson started for the Brewers and took the loss, going five innings and giving up five runs. Jonathan Villar walked, singled and doubled out of the leadoff spot while Keon Broxton and Orlando Arcia each singled for the only other Milwaukee hits.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX, Iowa Cubs (Postponed, Inclement Weather)
The Sky Sox and Cubs had the third game of their series rained out on Saturday.  A makeup date for the game was still to be determined.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 5, Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3
The Shuckers scored two runs in the top of the 15th inning as they defeated Pensacola in the longest game in franchise history by a score of 5-3. Jon Perrin started and went five innings, allowing three runs, before turning things over to the bullpen.  Bubba Derby tossed the final five scoreless frames to earn the victory.  Dustin Houle finished with two hits and two walks and Angel Ortega also added a pair of hits for Biloxi.

CAROLINA MUDCATS 3, Frederick Keys 4
The Mudcats dropped the front half of their doubleheader with Frederick as the Keys scored a run in the bottom of the seventh for a 4-3 walk-off win.  Corbin Burnes started and went 5.1 innings, allowing three runs. Colton Cross followed and suffered a loss after giving up a run in an inning and a third. Jake Gatewood hit his second home run of the season while Troy Stokes and Isan Diaz each finished game one with two hits and a walk.

CAROLINA MUDCATS 4, Frederick Keys 7
The Mudcats dropped game two of their doubleheader as well, losing by the score of 7-4.  Brad Kuntz started and took the loss, lasting 2.2 innings and giving up all seven runs, with three earned.  Jake Gatewood (3) and Luis Aviles (2) each homered for Carolina while Wendell Rijo and Mitch Ghelfi each added a double.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS, Burlington Bees (Postponed, Rain)
The Timber Rattlers and Bees were rained out for the second straight day on Saturday.  The two teams will attempt to play a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.
