TUESDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 1, St. Louis Cardinals 2
The Brewers dropped a pitcher’s duel to the Cardinals on Tuesday night by a score of 2-1.  Wily Peralta got the start and suffered the loss despite allowing just two runs over 5.1 innings. Jett Bandy singled and walked for Milwaukee while Jesus Aguilar, Hernan Perez, Travis Shaw and Domingo Santana each added a base hit.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 8, Oklahoma City Dodgers 6
The Sky Sox scored two in the top of the 14th to knock off Oklahoma City by a score of 8-6.  Brandon Woodruff started and went six innings, allowing three runs. Stephen Kohlscheen picked up the win with Michael Blazek recording the save.  Brett Phillips went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles while Ryan Cordell went 3-for-6 with a walk and Garret Cooper, Kyle Wren and Eric Sogard each added two hits.

BILOXI SHUCKERS – Idle
The Shuckers had an off day on Tuesday.  They return home to Biloxi on Wednesday to open up a series against the Montgomery Biscuits.

Buies Creek Astros 4, CAROLINA MUDCATS 3
The Astros scored a run in the top of the 12th to defeat Carolina 4-3 in extra innings.  Marcos Diplan started and went six innings, allowing just one run. Freddy Peralta followed and worked five innings, giving up two runs. Quintin Torres-Costa surrendered one run and was charged with the loss.  Isan Diaz led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run (5). Lucas Erceg also homered (2) as part of a two hit game and Corey Ray added a double.

Bowling Green Hot Rods 2, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 5
The Timber Rattlers got back to .500 on the season with a 5-2 win over Bowling Green on Tuesday.  Thomas Jankins started and got the win, going five innings and giving up two runs. Daniel Brown went the final three scoreless to record the save. Gilbert Lara finished the game 1-for-3 with his second home run of the season while Tucker Neuhaus added a single and a double in four trips to the plate.
