WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

Boston Red Sox 4, MILWAUKEE BREWERS 7
The Brewers picked up their third straight win on Wednesday, topping the Red Sox by a score of 7-4.  Chase Anderson started and went 4.2 innings, allowing two runs before giving way to Rob Scahill. Scahill worked 2.1 scoreless innings of relief and earned the win.  Keon Broxton, Eric Thames, Travis Shaw, Domingo Santana and Hernan Perez finished with two hits each.

COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX – IDLE
The Sky Sox were off on Monday.  They welcome Sacramento to town on Thursday to open up a series against San Francisco’s Triple-A affiliate.

BILOXI SHUCKERS 3, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 1
Biloxi improved their record to a game over .500 with a 3-1 win over Jacksonville. Taylor Williams started for the Shuckers and worked 2.1 scoreless innings, striking out four. Forrest Snow picked up the win with Tayler Scott earning the save.Michael Choice and Dustin Houle each finished 2-for-4 with a double while Clint Coulter and Mauricio Dubon each chipped in a pair of singles.

CAROLINA MUDCATS 2, Lynchburg Hillcats 0
The Mudcats scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take game one of their doubleheader by a score of 2-0.  Corbin Burnes continued his dominance, working six scoreless frames for the win with Nate Griep recording the save. Isan Diaz and Troy Stokes, Jr. each doubled while Corey Ray, Luis Aviles, Jake Gatewood and Weston Wilson contributed a single each.

CAROLINA MUDCATS 3, Lynchburg Hillcats 1
Carolina did all of their scoring in the fifth inning in game two and that proved to be enough as they swept their doubleheader with a 3-1 victory. Starting pitcher Wuilder Rodriguez went 4.1 innings, allowing just one run. Quintin Torres-Costa worked the final inning and two-thirds and picked up the win. Wendell Rijo went 2-for-3 with a double and Mitch Ghelfi also added a double.

WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 2, Fort Wayne TinCaps 3
The Rattlers took a lead with two runs in the seventh but Fort Wayne answered back with two in their half of the inning as they edged Wisconsin 3-2.  David Burkhalter got the start and worked five innings, allowing just one run. Nattino Diplan gave up two runs in his two innings of work and was tagged with the loss.  Ryan Aguilar finished the day 4-for-4 with Demi Orimoloye, Monte Harrison and Caleb Whalen adding two hits each.
