Minor League Baseball announced their weekly Player of the Week Awards on Monday and a pair of Brewers were honored for their respective performances.

Helena infielder Dallas Carroll was selected as the Pioneer League’s Player of the Week, while Biloxi pitcher Aaron Wilkerson was honored as the Southern League’s Pitcher of the Week.

Carroll, 23, was selected by the Brewers in the ninth round of the MLB Draft this past June.  He hit .450 for the week, collecting nine hits in 20 at-bats.  Four of his nine hits went for bases, including a pair of home runs, and he also drew four walks while striking out just twice, giving him a line for the week of .450/.560/.850.

Wilkerson, a 28-year-old right-hander whom the Brewers acquired last season as part of a deal that shipped veteran infielder Aaron Hill to the Boston Red Sox, has been dominant of late for AA Biloxi.  Milwaukee has opted to leave him there, avoiding Colorado Springs, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see him make the jump from Biloxi straight to Milwaukee.
