TUESDAY’S RESULTS

MILWAUKEE BREWERS 4, San Francisco Giants 3
The Brewers scored two run in the seventh to eek out a 4-3 win over the Giants and even their series at a game apiece.  Jimmy Nelson started and went five innings, allowing three runs.  Jeremy Jeffress followed with a scoreless inning of relief and earned the win, with Corey Knebel notching the save.  Neil Walker led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a double while Eric Sogard added two hits.

Oklahoma City Dodgers 1, COLORADO SPRINGS SKY SOX 3
The Sky Sox took the lead with a run in the seventh, then added an insurance run in the eighth as they topped Oklahoma City, 3-1.  Taylor Jungmann started and went six innings, allowing just one run while striking out eight.  Wily Peralta was credited with the win and Rob Scahill picked up the save.  Nate Orf finished 2-for-4 with a double and Yadiel Rivera also added two hits.

Mobile Bay Bears 5, BILOXI SHUCKERS 6
Biloxi rallied to take a late lead, then held on for a 6-5 win over Mobile.  Aaron Wilkerson started and went six innings, allowing four runs.  Quintin Torres-Costa followed and picked up the win while Matt Ramsey recorded his 25th save.  Blake Allemand paced the offense, going 3-for-5 with a home run.  Angel Ortega went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles an Jake Gatewood went 3-for-5 with a double.

CAROLINA MUDCATS 3, Winston-Salem Dash 7
Winston-Salem plated four runs in the bottom of the sixth as they topped Carolina 7-3.  Marcos Diplan got the starting nod and suffered the loss after giving up all seven runs over 5.2 innings of work.  Lucas Erceg hit his 14th home run of the year and drew a pair of walks while Luis Aviles went 2-for-4 with a double and Weston Wilson added a pair of base hits.

Peoria Chiefs 4, WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS 8
Wisconsin scored six runs in the first inning and that would be more than enough as they doubled up Peoria, 8-4.  Nattino Diplan started and worked three scoreless frames before giving way to the bullpen.  Alec Kenilvort followed and picked up the win, despite allowing four runs, two earned, in three innings of relief.  Ronnie Gideon went 2-for-4 with his 13th home run and Trever Morrison added a double and a triple.

HELENA BREWERS 4, Missoula Osprey 8

Missoula used a five-run fourth inning to help them defeat Helena by a score of 8-4.  Nelson Hernandez got the start but went just one inning.  Cameron Hanes followed and was tagged with the loss after giving up five runs, four earned, over 2.1 innings of relief.  KJ Harrison hit his sixth home run of the year for the Brewers while Chad McClanahan, Tristen Lutz and Gabriel Garcia each added two hits.

DSL Rangers2 3, DSL BREWERS 1

In a game that was scoreless through nine innings, each team plated a run in the tenth and the Rangers added two more in the eleventh to come away with a 3-1 win over the Brewers on Tuesday. Jose Parra got the start and worked seven scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five. Jenri Montas followed and punched out seven over three innings, giving up just one unearned run. Victor Vasquez came on to work the 11th and was charged with the loss after surrendering a pair of unearned runs. Jean Cruz finished with two of the Brewers’ five hits and Roberto Molina chipped in a double.

DSL Rangers1 5, DSL INDIANS/BREWERS 4

The Rangers scored single runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings as they came from behind to knock off the Brewers co-op team, 5-4. Jose Alberro was the only Brewers pitcher to see action and he was charged with the loss after giving up an unearned run in two-thirds of an inning. Luis Avila had two hits in four at-bats and Ismael Rosado added a single and a sac fly.
