Profile: Originally drafted out of high school by the Chicago Cubs in the 38th round in 2013, Brown opted to instead head to college at the University of Kentucky, where he spent three seasons pitching for the Wildcats, starting 33 of the 48 games he appeared in.  Milwaukee selected him in the fifth round following his junior season, and this time he signed, agreeing to the slot bonus of $225,500.  After signing with the Brewers, Brown was sent to Helena to get his feet work, appearing in three games, before getting bumped up to Class-A Wisconsin.  He returned to Wisconsin in 2017 and handled Midwest League hitters well before earning a promotion to High-A Carolina late in the year.

2016:  Brown joined Helena following his signing with the Brewers, but after just three appearances there, the Brewers saw enough in him to jump him to Wisconsin to finish out the year.  He pitched in nine games for Wisconsin, starting four of them, and went 1-2 with a 3.00 earned run average, holding opposing hitters to a .221 average.

2017:  After getting a taste of the Midwest League in 2016, Brown returned to Wisconsin in 2017 and proved to be one of the Timber Rattlers most reliable pitchers, posting a 3.39 earned run average while striking out nearly a batter per inning in 85 innings of work.  He earned a bump to High-A Carolina to finish out the year and had even more success there, going 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA in four starts for the Mudcats.
