Profile:  Signed by the Brewers out of Venezuela in 2015, Chirino made his professional debut the following season, pitching fro Milwaukee’s affiliate in the Dominican Summer League.  After handling himself well as an 18-year-old in the DSL, the Brewers brought Chirino stateside in 2017, skipping him past the AZL and assigning him to Helena in the Pioneer League.  With a good mound presence and a frame that can add more muscle as he matures, Chirino is a starting pitcher with a good mix of stuff and know-how.  He struggles to command his pitches at times, especially his breaking stuff, and misses up in the zone, resulting in some hard hit balls, but the Brewers think highly of him and will be patient with the young right-hander

2016:  After signing with Milwaukee in November of 2015, Chirino debuted in the Dominican Summer League in 2016, making 11 starts for the DSL Brewers.  He went 4-4 with a 3.12 earned run average, logging 57.2 innings with a WHIP of 1.25

2017:  Chirino made his way stateside in 2017 and jumped over the rookie Arizona League, heading straight to Helena.  He had a tough time there, going just 1-6 in 16 outings, 11 of which came as a starter.  He finished the season with an ERA of 6.94 but did manage to strike out nearly a batter per inning in 46.2 innings of work.
