Profile:  A member of Milwaukee’s July 2nd signing class in 2015, Connell signed with the Brewers out of Panama for a bonus reported to be around $175,000.  He joined their team in the Dominican Summer League in 2016, then returned for a second season there in 2017, but struggled at the plate in both stints.  Big, strong and athletic with the potential to develop plus power, Connell has a lot of swing-and-miss to his game at present, but if he can make more consistent contact, he could become a threat at the plate as he advances.  A corner outfielder due to his large frame, Connell has a strong arm and profiles best in right field.

2016:  After signing with Milwaukee the previous July, Connell made his debut in the Dominican Summer League in 2016, playing for the DSL Brewers.  In 54 games there, he hit .189/.311/.286 with eight doubles and three home runs while driving in 24 runs and scoring 21.

2017:  Connell returned to the Dominican Summer League for a second straight season in 2017, but despite his experience there, he actually saw a dip in his numbers across the board.  Playing in 56 games, he posted a line of .177/.283/.268, collecting 12 doulbes but just one home run, while driving in 16 and scoring nine.
