Profile: Signed by Milwaukee out of Venezuela in 2015, Cordero was assigned to the Dominican Summer League a year later, appearing in nine games for the DSL Brewers.  He returned to the Dominican for another stint in 2017, pitching for the Brewers co-op team, but was shut down after just three starts and underwent Tommy John surgery on his arm in early August, knocking him out for the year.  In limited action before his surgery, Cordero had a hard time finding the strike zone, issuing 25 walks in 29 innings of work while posting a WHIP of 2.00.

2016:  Cordero agreed to terms on a contract with the Brewers in November of 2015 and was sent to the Dominican Summer League a year later, suiting up for the DSL Brewers.  He appeared in nine games, starting three of them, and went 0-2 with a 3.22 earned run average, allowing eight earned runs in 22.1 innings of work.

2017:  The Brewers had Cordero return to the DSL for a second season in 2017 and they moved him over to their co-op team which they shared with the Indians.  He made three starts there, but struggled mightily, going 0-3 with a 12.15 ERA.  In just 6.2 innings of work, he allowed 11 hits and also walked 11 batters before it was discovered that the young lefty needed surgery on his arm.
