Profile: Signed by the Brewers in December of 2016, the Dominican right-hander was assigned to Milwaukee’s co-op team in the Dominican Summer League in June of 2017 and made his pro debut there, working in 19 games.  A hard-throwing right-hander who should gain life on his fastball as he develops, De Jesus struggled to miss bats in his first season and opposing hitters squared up his offerings a fair amount.  He also had a tough time finding the strike zone on occasion and will need to better command his pitches to advance.

2017:  The Brewers opted to have De Jesus debut with their co-op team rather than their regular DSL squad and he had a rough first season, going 1-5 with a 5.61 earned run average.  He issued 23 walks while striking out just 31 in 51.1 innings of work and opposing hitters wound up batting .322 against him.
