Profile:  Part of Milwaukee’s July 2nd signing class in 2015, Familia signed for $370,000 and made his pro debut in 2016, playing for Milwaukee’s team in the Dominican Summer League.  He returned to the DSL in 2017 and made noticeable improvements to his offensive game.  A good athlete with room to grow and add power, Familia has seen time at both first base and third base, with the bulk of his time coming at the hot corner.  With plus bat speed and power potential, Familia is a threat in the middle of the order and showed increased patience as well, displaying a good eye and a willingness to wait for his pitch.

2016:  Signed by Milwaukee a year earlier out of the Dominican Republic, Familia got his first taste of pro ball playing for the DSL Brewers in 2016.  He hit just .171 in 37 games, but did manage a pair of home runs and drove in ten runs while scoring nine.

2017:  The Brewers opted to have Familia return to the DSL for the 2017 season and he responded with improved numbers across the board.  In 59 games, Familia wound up hitting .289/.422/.455 with 14 doubles, one triple and five home runs en route to being named to the DSL All-Star team.
