Profile: Born in Puerto Rico, Garcia attended high school at Montverde Academy in Kissimmee, Florida and was taken by Baltimore in the 29th round of the 2015 draft, but opted for a year of JUCO ball, heading to Broward Community College for his freshman season. After one year there, he was selected by Milwaukee in the 14th round of the 2016 draft and chose to sign with the Brewers for a reported bonus of $150,000. He was sent to Maryvale following his signing, making his pro debut with the AZL Brewers. Showing a good approach at the plate in his first season, Garcia displayed the ability to hit for average while also generating some power. Listed as a catcher on draft day, Garcia did catch one game in 2016 and could see more time behind the plate in the future, where his offensive profile would play up more.

2016: After signing with the Brewers, Garcia made his way to Maryvale, make his professional debut with the AZL Brewers in July. In 37 games there, he hit an even .300, collecting 12 doubles, four triples and a pair of home runs while driving in 27 runs, with the majority of his playing time coming at first base.
