Position: Pitcher

DOB: December 18, 1993

Height: 6’2″ / Weight: 205

Bats: Right / Throws: Right

40-man roster: No

How acquired: Drafted (16th round, 2015)

Profile:  Selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 38th round in 2013 and by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 40th round in 2014 after each of his first two seasons at Western Nevada CC, Harber chose to head to the University of Oregon for a season, then was chosen by Milwaukee in the 16th round in 2015.  He signed with the Brewers for $115,000 and made his pro debut with Helena the same season.  He moved up to Class-A Wisconsin in 2016, before advancing to High-A Carolina in 2017, working as both a starter and a reliever.  With a fastball that sits in the 90-92 mph range, Harber has some effort to his delivery, but he is a good athlete and has shown a nice feel for a breaking ball.

2015:  After foregoing his senior season at Oregon to sign with the Brewers, Harber was sent to Helena, making his pro debut in the Pioneer League.  He pitched in nine games there, starting four of them, and posted a 3.38 earned run average over 24 innings of work.

2016:  Harber got his first taste of full-season ball in 2016, when he moved up to Class-A Wisconsin.  He pitched in 20 games for the Timber Rattlers, starting seven of them, and went 4-3 with a 3.02 ERA, striking out 67 batters in 56.2 innings of work.

2017:  The Brewers rewarded Harber for his fine 2016 season with a promotion to High-A Carolina in 2017.  He started 14 of the 24 games he pitched in for the Mudcats, but went 4-9 with a 5.04 earned run average and a WHIP of 1.60, due in large part to the 64 walks he issued in 89.1 innings.
