Profile: Signed by the Brewers in 2017 after going undrafted following his senior season at Wichita State, Holifield spent his first two seasons at Fort Scott Community College, then played one year at Abilene Christian before joining the Shockers in 2016.  After signing with Milwaukee, Holifield was assigned to Maryvale, where he pitched in relief for the AZL Brewers.  A strike-thrower who attacks hitters, Holifield is a smart player who pitches with a plan.  A good athlete with a solid frame, he uses a fastball, split-change and a slider which give him a variety of options to challenge hitters with out of the bullpen.

2017:  After signing with Milwaukee, Holifield was sent to the Arizona League in June and turned into one of the top bullpen arms for the AZL Brewers.  In 17 relief outings, he went 2-0 with a 1.80 earned run average, striking out 16 in 15 innings of work while holding opposing hitters to a .218 average.
