Profile: Selected by the Brewers in the 13th round in 2016 following his junior season at Quinnipiac, Jankins signed with Milwaukee for $100,000 and was sent to Helena to begin his pro career.  After just four games in Helena, Jankins was promoted to Class-A Wisconsin, where he spent the remainder of the 2016 season before returning to the Timber Rattlers for the 2017 campaign as well.  With a low-90’s fastball that features good downward movement, Jankins also mixes in a curveball and a changeup that both have the potential to be plus pitches for him.  A strike-thrower who displays good command of his pitches, Jankins generally pitches to contact, but can reach back for a little extra when needed for the punchout and has posted solid strikeout numbers through his first two seasons.

2016:  After signing with the Brewers and choosing to pass up his senior season at Quinnipiac, Jankins was sent to Helena, where he pitched in four games before earning a promotion to Class-A Wisconsin.  He worked in eight more games there, making seven starts, and posted a 3.20 ERA in 25.2 innings.

2017:  With a handful of Low-A starts under his belt the season before, Jankins returned to Wisconsin for the 2017 season and started 24 of the 27 games that he pitched in.  He went 9-8 with a 3.62 ERA in 141.2 innings and finished the year with a WHIP of 1.22.
