Profile:  Selected by Milwaukee out of high school in the second round in 2017, Lemons agreed to a bonus of $1.45 million, passing up an offer from Ole Miss.  He was sent to Arizona where he launched his professional career with the Brewers’ AZL affiliate in Maryvale.  A tall and lanky right-hander with a high 3/4 delivery and a fastball already sitting in the mid-90’s, Lemons touches 97 at times and many believe he could add even more velocity as he continues to develop.  He also shows good feel for his breaking stuff, throwing both a slider and curveball, and mixes in a changeup as well.  He saw very limited action in his first season or pro ball, but was able to get his feet wet and gain valuable instruction from Milwaukee’s pitching coaches.

2017:  After signing his deal with Milwaukee, Cadens made his way to Maryvale and logged his first start in mid-August.  He worked in just three games, starting all three of them, and allowed two runs on two hits in 2.2 innings of work.
