Profile: Selected by Milwaukee in the 27th round of the 2017 Draft out of the University of Tampa, Martin jumped straight past Maryvale and began his professional career in the Pioneer League with Helena.  Listed at just 165 pounds, the young right-hander will need to work in the weight room to add more muscle to his frame.  He struggled to throw strikes in his pro debut, and when he did, opposing hitters squared him up fairly well but he’s still young and has time to iron some things out.

2017:  Milwaukee chose to have Martin begin his career with Helena, but he struggled in 16 relief outings there, going 1-1 with an 11.16 earned run average.  He walked nearly as many batters as he struck out and opposing hitters wound up batting .372 against him as he posted a WHIP of 2.40.
