Profile: A local product from Janesville, Wisconsin, Meyer attended college at UW-Stout before signing with the Brewers as an undrafted free agent in April of 2017.  Prior to signing with Milwaukee, Meyer worked as a catching instructor and also served as bullpen catcher for the Brevard County Manatees.  He was assigned to extended spring training after signing in 2017, then split time between Helena and Carolina.  A bit old for his level, the Brewers like what they see from Meyer in terms of knowledge and fundamentals and it would be hard to see his playing career turn into a stepping stone to move into the coaching field at some point.

2017:  Signed after teams broke camp following spring training, Meyer opened up his first year in the Brewers’ system in extended spring training, then was assigned to Helena of the Pioneer League once their season got underway.  He received a promotion to Carolina in July and bounced back and forth between the two ballclubs, seeing limited game action.  In nine combined games between two levels, Meyer hit .214 with a double and scored three runs.
