Position: Pitcher

DOB: August 10, 1999

Profile:  Picked by the Brewers in the 25th round in 2017 out of high school, Morales turned down an offer from Long Beach State, choosing instead to sign with Milwaukee and get his professional career underway.  He was assigned to Arizona after inking his deal and appeared in five games for the AZL Brewers.  A wiry southpaw with a fastball that sits in the high-80’s, occasionally touching 90 mph, Morales has plenty of room to grow and should pick up some velocity as he does.  He also throws a looping curveball and a changeup that has the potential to be a better-than-average pitch for him, but had some issued repeating his delivery early on.

2017:  After signing his contract with the Brewers, Morales was sent to Maryvale, where he appeared in five games for the AZL Brewers.  He started one contest and went 1-0 with an 8.38 earned run average, striking out nine batters over 9.2 innings of work.
