Profile: Selected by the Brewers in the fourth round of the 2015 draft out of high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Orimoloyes signed for $450,000, turning down an offer to play collegiately at Oregan, and made his pro debut with Maryvale that same season, then moved up to Helena in the Pioneer League in 2016.  The Nigerian-born outfielder has an impactful power/speed combo that makes scouts drool. Super athletic and built like a bull, Orimoloye generates impressive bat speed which results in plus power potential to go along with wheels on the bases and a strong throwing arm. He struggled with contact last season and his ability to put the ball in play will ultimately determine how far he can go as better pitch recognition with not only help improve his average but also assist in tapping into his massive power.

2015: Orimoloye made his pro debut with the Brewers AZL affiliate in Maryvale, appearing in 33 games and rotating between right and left field. He put up solid offensive numbers, hitting .292 with six home runs while also stealing 10 bases. 17 of his 40 hits wound up going for extra bases and he scored 23 runs but he managed just three walks in 144 plate appearances.

2016: After opening 2016 in extended spring training, Orimoloye joined Helena, Milwaukee’s rookie league affiliate in the Pioneer League once their season began in June. He didn’t have quite the same success he had in his first season, sporting just a .205 average in 61 games. His power numbers also took a dip as he saw his slugging percentage drop from .518 in 2015 to .324 in 2016 but he did manage to cut down on his strikeouts while increasing his walk rate and was successful in 18 of 23 stolen base attempts.
