Bats: Right / Throws: Right

40-man roster: No

How acquired: Drafted (27th round, 2015)

Profile: Selected in the 33rd round of the 2014 draft by Detroit, Perrin chose to return to Oklahoma State for his senior season, and after going 6-4 in 16 starts for the Cowboys, he was again selected, this time by Milwaukee, in the 27th round in 2015. He split time between Maryvale and Single-A Wisconsin after signing with the Brewers then opened 2016 back at Wisconsin before earning a promotion to High-A Brevard County. A durable starter who pitches with a plan and works both sides of the plate, Perrin features a low-90’s fastball to go along with a slurvy breaking ball and a changeup, but relies more on location than overpowering stuff and that could prove challenging against more advanced hitters.

2015: After signing with Milwaukee following the draft, Perrin was sent to Maryvale in the AZL to begin his pro career. He went 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in three appearances there before being sent to Class-A Wisconsin. He finished out the year in the Midwest League, starting eight of the ten games he worked in for the Timber Rattlers, posting a 4.31 ERA.

2016: Perrin returned to Wisconsin to start the 2016 season and was dominant in six starts there, going 1-1 with a 2.50 ERA and striking out 47 batters over 36 innings before receiving a bump to High-A Brevard County. He saw action in 19 games after joining the Manatees, starting 16, and posted a similar ERA of 2.60, and was again promoted, this time to Double-A Biloxi late in the year.
