Profile: Signed by the Brewers out of Venezuela in May of 2015, Pinto joined Milwaukee’s Dominican Summer League affiliate shortly after agreeing to terms.  He worked predominantly as a reliever in his first season, then returned to the DSL in 2016 and moved into a starting role.  Pinto went back to the DSL for a third consecutive season in 2017 and saw action as both a starter and a reliever for the Brewers.  Statistically Pinto took a step back in 2016 before making some improvements in 2017, but his numbers were still middle of the road.  He has shown improvement with his command but still gets too much of the strike zone, resulting in a lot of hard hit balls.

2015:  Assigned to the Dominican Summer League shortly after signing with Milwaukee, Pinto made 14 appearances for the DSL Brewers in 2015 with 13 of them coming in relief.  He finished the year with a record of 1-1 and an earned run average of 5.28, but struggled with his control, walking more than a batter per inning.

2016:  Pinto returned to the DSL for the 2016 season, but shifted roles, moving into the starting rotation.  He started all 12 games he saw action in for the Brewers, but went just 2-5 with a 6.24 earned run average in 53.1 innings of work.

2017:  The Brewers opted to have Pinto spend a third straight season in the Dominican, as he returned to the DSL Brewers in 2017.  He worked as both a starter and a reliever, starting nine of the 14 games he worked in.  He showed much better command, cutting down on his walk totals while logging a career high 70 innings on the mound.
