Position: Pitcher

DOB: September 6, 1999

Height: 5’11” / Weight: 187

Bats: Right / Throws: Right

40-man roster: No

How acquired: Drafted (23rd round, 2017)

Profile: Selected by the Brewers out of high school in the 23rd round in 2017, Robinson turned down an offer from South Florida to sign with Milwaukee and he began his pro career, pitching for their affiliate in the Arizona League.  With a three-pitch mix that features a 88-90 mph fastball, a curveball and a changeup, Robinson is a good athlete who fields his position well.  He did a good job of throwing strikes in his first season of pro ball, but opposing hitters did make hard contact against him more than you would like to see going forward.

2017:  After passing up college to sign with the Brewers, Robinson was sent to Maryvale, where he made his professional debut with the AZL Brewers.  He saw action in six games there, starting one, but got hit hard, finishing the year with an ERA of 12.91, though he did manage to strikeout nine in 7.2 innings of work.
