Profile: Chosen by the Brewers in the eighth round in 2017 following his junior season at Utah, Rose signed with Milwaukee for a bonus reported to be just shy of $165k.  He was assigned to Milwaukee’s Pionner League affiliate in Helena, Montana after signing and worked as both a starter and a reliever there.  A command pitcher who relies on a plus changeup, which he throws in addition to a low-90’s fastball and a breaking ball, Rose manages good strikeout numbers and keeps opposing hitters off balance by doing a nice job of mixing and locating all of his offerings.  A little bit small for a starter, Rose should add a little more muscle which would allow him to withstand the rigors of a full season, or he could also eventually make a more permanent move to the pen.

2017:  After signing his deal with Milwaukee, Rose made his way to Helena, where debuted with the Helena Brewers, appearing in ten games, six of which came as a starter.  Rose went 1-4 with a 5.97 earned run average, but managed to rack up 37 strikeouts in 31.2 innings of work.
