Profile: Signed by the Brewers as a free agent in 2016, the Puerto Rican left-hander made his professional debut that same season, pitching for Milwaukee’s affiliate in the Dominican Summer League as a reliever.  He returned to the DSL to start the 2017 season, but after just three starts there, the Brewers brought him stateside, assigning him to their Arizona League affiliate in Maryvale.  A good athlete who fields his position well, Salaman played his college ball at Carl Albert State College in Oklahoma before signing with Milwaukee, where he also saw time at first base and in the outfield.

2016:  Signed by the Brewers to a free agent contract in June, Salaman was sent to the Dominican Summer League to make his pro debut in 2016.  He made nine relief appearances for the DSL Brewers, posting an ERA of 2.60, striking out 15 batters in 17.1 innings of work.

2017:  Salaman returned to the DSL to start the 2017 season and made three starts there, going 2-0 and allowing just three hits over 14 scoreless innings.  After his dominating start in the Dominican, the Brewers opted to bring Salaman stateside, assigning him to the AZL Brewers.  He appeared in 14 games there, starting five of them, and went 3-3 with a 5.23 earned run average.
