Profile:  Signed by the Brewers out of the Dominican Republic in 2015, Sano debuted in the Dominican Summer League the following season with the DSL Brewers, then returned in 2017 as part of Milwaukee’s co-op team which they shared with Cleveland.  An under-sized infielder, Sano shows occasional pop and could develop more as he grows.  He offers plenty of versatility, having played all four infield positions and can also hit from both sides of the plate.

2016:  Milwaukee assigned Sano to their Dominican Summer League team in 2016, and he appeared in 43 games there, batting .236 with a pair of home runs to go along with nine doubles and 19 runs batted in.  Sano worked exclusively at second base in his first pro season and handled the position well, committing just four errors all season.

2017:  Sano returned to the DSL in 2017, suiting up for Milwaukee’s co-op team.  He enjoyed more success at the plate, raising his average to .271, but did see a dip in his power numbers, collecting just five doubles and a triple in 53 games.  Sano also bounced around the diamond a bit more defensively, seeing action at first base, second base, shortstop and third base, with the bulk of his time coming at the hot corner.
