Profile: Drafted by the Brewers in the 5th round out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2013, Uhen underwent Tommy John surgery during his college career, but bounced back and regained his velocity.  He started his pro career in the AZL after signing and advanced a level at a time, hitting Helena in 2014, Wisconsin in 2015 and Brevard County in 2016.  He received a promotion to Double-A Biloxi late in the 2016 season and returned there again in 2017. A hard thrower who sits in 95-96 mph range with his fastball, Uhen has been clocked in the triple digits during his collegiate days and is helped by a natural sink to his heater.  He also mixes in a slider which is average or better, giving him the profile of a classic late inning reliever.

After signing with Milwaukee for $250,000, Uhen was assigned to Maryvale, where he began his pro career with the Arizona League Brewers.  In 14 appearances there, he went 2-6 with a 4.54 earned run average.

Starting out the following season in extended spring training, Uhen joined Helena once their season got underway and appeared in 15 Pioneer League games, starting eight.  He finished the year with a record of 2-4 to go along with a 4.28 earned run average.

Uhen got his first taste of full-season baseball in 2015, moving up to Class-A Wisconsin.  Having grown up in Oshkosh, the trip to Wisconsin was a bit of a homecoming for Uhen and he wound up working in 29 games for the Timber Rattlers, starting four.

The Brewers sent Uhen to High-A Brevard County in 2016 and he moved into a role as strictly a reliever with the Manatees.  In 32 appearances out of the bullpen, he went 1-3 with a 4.35 earned run average, recording one save and striking out 47 batters in 49.2 innings of work.  Uhen earned a late promotion to Double-A Biloxi and saw action in four more games there with the Shuckers before pitching for the Brewers in the Arizona Fall League.

Uhen made a return trip to Biloxi in 2017 and logged a career high 58.2 innings.  In 44 outings with the Shuckers, Uhen went 4-2 with a 3.68 ERA, striking out 53 hitters in 58.2 innings of work while recording one save.
