Profile:  Signed by the Brewers in June of 2017, the Venezuelan-born Vassalotti made his professional debut a few weeks later at the age of 16.  He was terrific in his first season in the Dominican Summer League and earned a spot on Italy’s roster for the 18U Baseball World Cup as well as an invite to join the Brewers in Maryvale for their instructional league.  A relative unknown at the time of his signing, Vassalotti impressed with a mature approach and mound presence to go along with an ability to throw strikes as one of the youngest players in the DSL.

2017:  The Brewers threw Vassalotti right into the fire after signing him to a deal, assigning him to their Dominican Summer League team at just sixteen years old.  He handled himself well, going 1-3 with a 1.63 earned run average in nine starts, striking out 32 while issuing just eight walks and holding opposing hitters to a .178 batting average.
