Profile:  Originally drafted by the Colorado Rockies out of high school in the 39th round in 2011, Williams opted to head to East Oklahoma State College.  He was drafted again following his sophomore year, this time by the Miami Marlins in the 37th round in 2014.   Williams again chose not to sign, heading to Wichita State instead.  He was drafted for a third time following his junior season, going to the Padres in the 25th round, but again chose to stay in school, returning for his senior season.  Milwaukee took him in the 35th round in 2016 and he finally signed and began his pro career.  He split his first season between Maryvale and Wisconsin, then did the same in 2017, logging just 23.1 innings of work over his first two seasons.

2016:  Williams signed his contract with Milwaukee following the draft and made his way to Arizona, where he appeared in two AZL games before getting bumped up to Class-A Wisconsin.  He finished out the year with the Timber Rattlers, making four relief appearances, sporting a 2.25 ERA.

2017:  After opening up 2017 in extended spring training, the year turned into almost a mirror image for Williams, who began back in the Arizona League before getting promoted back to Wisconsin in August.  In 11 outings, two of which came as a starter, Williams went 1-1 with a 1.72 earned run average.
